Selamat Datang
Welcome to Malaysia.
Let’s start off with the weather. Warm all
year round with some moderate rain,
Malaysia has the perfect weather to visit
any time of year. The coastal and lower
elevations enjoy temperatures around the
80s’ but visit some of the resort highlands
and you will feel the change to ‘spring like’
temperatures!

Malaysia also enjoys one of the highest
standards of living in the region with
modern infrastructure and state of the art
facilities. The country is well connected by
roads, air and sea transports and trains.
Kuala Lumpur, the capital, has an inner
city light rail system that goes just about
anywhere a tourist might want to visit while
in the city. With the cost of living one of
the lowest in Asia, due to efforts by the
government to keep prices of goods and
services low, the ‘My second home’
program might just be the thing you are
looking for.

Formally a British Colony, Malaysia’s
government and legal practices are based
on the British system of justice. Bahasa
Malaysia is the national language of the
country, however, English is widely
spoken, so that takes a load off concerns
about asking for directions, what’s on a
menu or even shopping!

The main religion in the country is Islam
with the Malays being the dominant race,
however, other religions like Christianity,
Buddhism and Hinduism to name a few
are practiced freely. With other major
races in the country; the Chinese and
Indians to name a few, cultures
intermingle to what is uniquely Malaysian.
The Malaysian cuisine says it all. This
mixture of cultures has brought out the
best of flavors. From freshly grilled
seafood straight out of the surrounding
waters seasoned to perfection with a
concoction of exotic spices, to aromatic
curries and tempting colorful desserts, the
range of cuisine is unlimited and the
presentation is uniquely Malaysian. To top
that off, the Malaysian tropical fruits are a
healthy part of the local diet and you will
find them just about anywhere. They
make for great snacks any time of day.

So come to Malaysia. This country has
just about everything you are looking for.
There are theme parks, deep sea fishing,
great night life, jungle trails, elephant
sanctuaries, unique tourist sites, golf
courses to play all year round, turtle
sanctuaries, F1 Formula races, great
shopping…..and did I mention about the
beaches? There are cozy lagoons, white
sands, warm waters, swaying palms,
remote islands, great resorts with
excellent service. Now, there are not many
places around the globe that is blessed
with such abundance, and all within a
short distance from each other.

So, grab your luggage, throw in a couple
of shorts and T-shirts (don’t forget to add
in some snazzy outfits for those nights
out) and you are ready to experience a
time of your life. Don’t forget your
camera!!!!
